NASCENT

A Detroit man comes to terms with an ever-changing America post 911 as he begins to work at an independent book store owned by an Iraqi woman. He watches helplessly while his city dies and the automobile industry begins to fail. Falling in love with the Iraqi woman, he witnesses racial profiling and the damage it does when he is shot point blank during a bookstore robbery, causing him to permanently lose his sight.
